About us

The house, which has been family-owned since 1887 and is now in its fourth generation, is situated on the highest “Wurt” (man-made dwelling mound) in Wangerland, near the “Elisabeth-Groden” nature reserve and the Frisian North Sea resorts of Horumersiel and Schillig. Relaxation and recuperation are guaranteed by the wonderful location of our house. Even the shortest stay will become an unforgettable experience.
In our family-run house, located in a quiet area, we offer holiday-friendly furnished rooms with shower, toilet, telephone, and satellite TV; some with a balcony. Some rooms are equipped for guests with disabilities. A comfortable sauna provides balance and relaxation.
Our Deichgrafen restaurant, with its extensive lunch and dinner menu, offers you well-known dishes and pampers you with Lucullan specialties from the region. What could be more natural on the North Sea coast than to offer you fish in its multitude of types and preparations here? You get fish, mussels, and crabs here as fresh as nowhere else. The beaches and spa facilities in Horumersiel and Schillig are approximately a 4-minute drive away. Our house is the ideal starting point for bicycle tours to the nearby dike and into the vast Frisian landscape. A lockable bicycle garage is available for you.
Furthermore, our Deichgrafen restaurant offers the perfect setting for your large celebration or small parties. We are equipped for all kinds of events such as family celebrations, conferences, club festivals, and company outings for up to 200 people.
